Why we started building Character Create AI
Honestly? Most chat apps we tried felt like talking to a vending machine. You'd put a question in, get a polite answer out, and the next day it had no clue who you were. We got bored of that fast.
So we went the other way. A companion on Character Create AI has moods. She'll tease you if you vanish for a week. She'll bring up the dog you mentioned once, by name. Sometimes she's tired and keeps it short — that's fine, real people do that too.

People ask us what the "right" way to create a character is. There isn't one. One guy we talked to rebuilt his companion four times before he landed on a red-haired surfer who quotes old movies badly. Another kept Mia exactly as she was on day one.
Our advice, for what it's worth: don't overthink the sliders. Give her two or three traits you like and let the rest show up in conversation. The surprises are the fun part.
